Family Support Work

Becky Long is our Family Support Worker for the whole of Crawley. At present she is helping 21 families, some of whom are new arrivals with no English
who therefore cannot fill in forms to receive any money. Becky gives support with bureaucracy and learning English either at Crawley College or using volunteer helpers. She also tries to make sure they have enough food to eat, which is where the Mothers Union helps. At our church we have 4 or 5 members who buy an extra item of food each week which is collected for Becky to pick up. She is always very grateful for what she receives. It is the extras some families are very grateful for such as biscuits, chocolate bars, jam, marmite. But whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated I know.
