  6. HRH Prince Philip has been a rock for her majesty the Queen and for the nation. We particularly appreciate the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme, which has inspired two generations of our family, and hoards of young people across the decades. Condolences to her majesty the Queen and the Royal Family on the loss of a humble, noble and great man.

  10. Prince Philip has been at the centre of the country since his marriage to Princess Elizabeth just after the Second Word War. Its difficult after all these years to imagine the UK and Commonwealth without him. I know from work with the Scouts how the Duke of Edinburgh Awards form part of the development of young men and women. Its now difficult to contemplate how the Queen will be supported in her role and we remember her and the Royal Family at this time.
